2007 Balloon Meister - Wil La Pointe

   Balloon Meister Wil LaPointe will be returning for the fifth year to the Sunflower^sm Balloon Fest.  A pilot from Owasso, Oklahoma, Wil purchased his first balloon “Sky Hy Willy” in 1988 to advertise his cellular business.  His first flight was made in 1989, and he has been hooked on ballooning ever since. Wil has traveled from coast to coast, participating in hot air balloon competitions, and winning various titles and prizes.  As Balloon Meister, he is in charge of all flight related details.   His job is to give the other balloonists guidance in weather decisions, and he leads the competitions. Wil has three sons, Chris, Pat and Clay who travel with him to many of the ballooning events and crew for him.

Wil states "ballooning is great fun and its great when you can share with others". Plan to come out for the weekend and meet Wil!
